England maintained their unbeaten start to their 2024 European Championship qualifying campaign with a narrow 1-0 win over Denmark at the Stadion am Bornheimer Hang in Frankfurt.
It was the Manchester United forward, James, who got the game's only goal after just three minutes, with a delightful outside of the boot finish from the edge of the area.
The Three Lions were much the better side in the first half, especially in the opening 15 minutes, but they failed to add to their lead, even with Denmark down to 10 players for a time, after captain Pernille Harder was subbed off with an injury.
The Danes improved in the second half, with Signe Bruun going close on several occasions, and they were unlucky not to equalize, with goalkeeper Mary Earps saving brilliantly from substitute Kathrine Moller Kuhlmann late on.
